I really dont understand all this sponsored by Sulcorp crap. If its bennys map and he did all the work on it then why do you need to label it with sulcorp :!:

To be honest i was thinking we should work on an addon version aswell like XR sahrani life server runs an addon version.

Basiclly what im saying is why all the secrecy. Could of made this a hotshot project and made it public to get opinion's

I agree with brit on the secrecy part. we should share the work, the community advice is important.

I'm lacking of tanks, i havn't found any good addons of tanks so far (except the M60A3 and BTR80)

If you guys find Tanks/Ground Vehicles addons, just feel free to post em here, or aswell, link them to me by msn.

i dont also get why sulcorp ? why not RBT as it used to be or RBT@hotshots which will bring more popularity to clan itself ?

or maybe that is some comercial shit i dont understand , so we be getting sponsor from arms dealers soon ?

i already got idea RBT@AALAN http://hr.aalan.hr/Katalog.aspx

maybe we ask them for 1000 euro for sponsorship per month to use addons of replicas of their guns in addons version ?

:P

I made quick and dirty upload of all current addons ( in a modfolder, @customs) on megaupload... crappy site.. but the free mirror provides around 400/500 kb/s d/l.. since blitz didnt made installer/mirror jet.. this can be a tempuary solution to distribute the addons... [a:)]

I ll have to download it back from sulcorp warfare 2 since i've formated my other computer and i can't plug it on since i don't have my 850w psu.

I'll remod it in 3 day or so, when i'll be able to run that 280gtx :D

i dont know.
not all addons are signed. so i dont know how brit looks against it.

i lost my program so i have a little delay with making the package.

sry about that.

But it will contain a large version first (2.0).
If you install it in the right directory (arma root) than the little versions (2.1 to 2.9) will be update pakcages that modify te original package (2.0).
When anything big happens there will also be a new full version (3.0).

hope to have updated you enough ;)

Dont make any fancy install packages, ppl wont like it. most ArmA players like to have control over their addons.
Or at least put it as normal package besides it.

And unsigned addons wouldnt be a problem, cheaters would never bother to download the right addons and put cheats in them anyway.

Not really true. Cheaters always have there cheats loaded and always play on unsigned servers if using tkc / pbo cheats. All the sahrani life servers that run use like 500 to 800mb addon packs and have signed files runing to stop cheaters.

Without it they bomb server but they can always use memory cheats to bypass signed files but they aint that much of abig deal

It just puts a @ addon folder in arma root. but it makes it easier to update.
also it will contain a littel manual for making the shortcut. Thats one thing im not gonna include due to the reason you mentioned above.

a) you can sign all addons yourself. as people people download the package
from you anyway, its easy to include the signature files in the download

so like hotshots / rundll.exe or the guy how manages the addon pack
can and should do it. its very simple.

b) have a look at yomatools for addon distribution.
you could divide the addon pack to several modfolders, so people can
download only the parts the needed.

did I say automated download and updating?

ps: you can use the system to deliver and update missions too. [a:)]

Better to say, Q from the OFP WGL? :D

Anyway, I tried yoma's tool long time ago, and I found it quite hard to use. Maybe it has improved in the meantime, I should check it.

Pll arent that interested in using tools or downloading addons for some weird reason...

while Zeus CTI was made by Pim,
I was main dev of WGL5 yes. [a:)]

Well yomatools is quite good to use now.
For noobs users its

* select server
* click update all
* wait
* start game

It has addon/modfolder management too.
While its still far from perfect, its quite good by now!

See guide for OAC yomatools server here:
community.bistudio. com/wiki/OAC:Project#.23_I._Download_and_play

On the server side you only upload the 7z files to a FTP server and
add a meta file there. Thats it.

You could still offer separate download via FTP/HTTP of course.
